Selection for the Academic Scholarship will be based on the following factors and percentages:

  1. Grade point average, SAT/ACT scores, and school curriculum. (Academic achievements received in high school and/or continuing college/technical school grades) (40%)
  2. Leadership qualities and character. (30%)
  3. Community Service and other outside activities. (20%)
  4. Financial need. (10%)

Procedure for Academic Scholarship

  1. Applicants must complete.
  2. Applicants must complete all sections of the application. While attachments are acceptable, do not simply reference the attachments when completing the application. (ie., do not simply say “see attached”)
  3. Applicants must provide a copy of current transcript with cumulative grade point average and SAT/ACT scores if available, or equivalent college or trade school transcript.
  4. Applicant must submit a general resume including education, employment and community work.
  5. Applicants must provide a personal evaluation of the applicant by an educator, community leader, or employer.
  6. Applicants must provide a one (1) page essay explaining the applicant’s reason for obtaining an advanced education.
